CLIMATE ECO-ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING
We are involved with Women Earth Alliance (WEA) and Women in Water & Natural Resource Conservation (WWANC) in facilitating Climate Eco-entrepreneurship training in Kakamega, Makueni, and Nakuru counties in Kenya and Gomba district in Uganda.
The project involves training 300 grassroots women accelerators in business planning, conducting business mentorship and overseeing grant disbursements to prop the businesses and in some cases to scale up the SMEs. The program will run for 12 months from Aug 2023. Key personnel include lead consultant Dr MAS Waweru PhD; Vivian Okoth MBA, Josephine Karimi MBA for Kenya program, and Clare Nakateete BVS, & Susan Namukasa BVS for Uganda program.
The program objectives are to promote climate eco business that ensure sustainability and conservation of the environment whilst mitigating the effects of climate change. This way the program will address UN SDGs on poverty eradication (1), health & well being (3), quality education (4), gender equality (5), affordable & clean energy (7), decent work & economic growth (8), climate action (13) and habitable life on earth (15).
